Book Buddies by Cynthia Lord *And There's a Giveaway!*

Last year the first book in a new series written by Cynthia Lord and illustrated by Stephanie Graegin debuted with Ivy Lost and Found. Now book 2 is here to continue the Book Buddies adventures!
To celebrate book 2 in this darling series for early readers, I'm teaming up with Candlewick Press to give away a copy to one lucky reader! Be sure to enter at the bottom of this post!

In book 2 of the Book Buddies series, a small stuffed mouse Christmas ornament looks too sweet for librarian Anne to pack away for a year. Instead of boxing the mouse up, she names him Marco Polo and brings him to her library to be part of the book buddy lending system so children can borrow the mouse and describe his adventures in a journal.

At first life at the library is rather dull for Marco Polo because he is so small that it seems to be a risk to borrow him since he could be so easily lost.
But when a young boy decides Marco Polo would be just the right size to hide in a sleeping bag for a first sleepover, Marco Polo is finally borrowed from the library.
Adventure awaits for Marco Polo, and just like Ivy in Book 1, he gets more than he bargained for!
A sweet story about being brave and opening up to reveal vulnerabilities, and learning that friends are accepting and often have the same insecurities we do.

Thanks for stopping by!
