Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away
Thoughts on the Story: Diverse creators and characters. Spanish text interspersed. The story of moving away/watching a friend move away is probably one more kids than ever can relate to after this year of transition for many. Sweet ending that shows the girls kept in touch. What's not to love about this story?!
Illustration Style: Digitally created drawings, they look like rough sketches with quick coloring, sometimes with pattern collage. It’s a wild, sometimes messy job, but it looks lovely and absolutely works. A wide range of colors makes each page a new experience.
