Fussy Flamingo

Thoughts on the Story: It’s a cute story about not turning your nose up at food, with some silliness and repetition that young children might enjoy, but it fell flat to me. The entire story seemed predictable in a way that lost my interest in finishing the book. The best part of the book to me was the Flamingo Facts section in the back. The good news, I'm an adult and clearly reading this from a different lens than the kids will be, so I do see this one being a fan fave among the young ones.

Illustration Style: Created using watercolor and digital tools. Cute and lively, I can see young children enjoying this style of artwork. The watercolor base layers of the water or leaves on the trees is a lovely backdrop throughout the book.
